All piercing appointments require a non-refundable deposit to be paid to confirm them. Deposits come off the total cost on the day. Once your booking is confirmed (with a deposit / email confirmation) we welcome you to get started on your consent form, this can be done at any stage prior to your appointment. You can also get a head start on browsing jewellery through our webstore, however each appointment includes time to take you through our jewellery range in person and find that perfect piece for your piercing.

Age policy
All our piercing booking pages have a little icon indicating the minimum age you must be to be pierced.

If you're under 16 we will require a parent to be with you throughout the appointment. We also require valid photo ID of both you and your parent. Your parent will cross-sign paperwork

If you're 16-17 a select range of piercings are available to you, we require valid photo ID.

If you're 18+ our full range of piercings is available to you, we require valid photo ID.

Your deposit is considered forfeit if you attend your appointment without all the correct identification. Valid photo ID is a driver's license, passport, Kiwi Access Card. We can't accept birth certificates as ID, nor can we accept many student IDs. You will receive an email appointment reminder 24 hours before your appointment reminding you to bring ID along.

Deposit policy
Deposits are non-refundable and must be paid to confirm appointment bookings. Deposits come off the total of the piercing fee on the day. Deposits secure the piercer's time and helps cover some of our minimum overheads.

If you fail to show up to your appointment your deposit is forfeit, or if you show up without the necessary identification.

Repeated missed, cancelled, or late-notice rescheduled appointments without deposits, such as downsizes, check-ups, etc., may incur penalties such as an (in)convenience fee added to the following appointment or inability to make new appointments without deposits.

Accessibility
Reclamation works out of Union Tattoo, 311 Willis Street, Te Aro. There is limited, metered on-street parking surrounding the studio.

We are less than 2 minutes walk from the number 7, 17 bus routes. We are approximately 10 minutes walk from the Manners Street bus stops.

The studio is mostly wheelchair and mobility aid accessible. If you have any queries please contact us.

Rescheduling, lateness, issues
Life sometimes gets in the way, we will always try to accomodate for this as best as possible. However, we must ensure our appointments run on time so the next client is not negatively impacted.

If you need to reschedule for any reason, we ask for 48 hours notice wherever possible. If you reschedule with less than 48 hours notice your deposit may be forfeit. Please email us firstly if you're rescheduling with less than 48 hours notice, or call us on 04 384 8071 for same-day issues.

If you are 10 or more minutes late for your scheduled appointment you may lose your deposit and need to rebook. Due to the short appointment time of consultations and downsize appointments we ask that you are no more than 5 minutes late for these.

If you change your mind prior to the piercing procedure starting, we'll work with you to find an alternative, or we can use the deposit towards jewellery purchase instead. If you change your mind once the piercing procedure has started you may lose some, or all of, your deposit.

If you have booked an anatomically dependant piercing without firstly booking a consultation and the practitioner decides that the anatomy is (unfortunately) unsuitable for piercing, we will firstly work with you to try and find a happy alternative. However, if we can't find an alternative, your deposit may be partially or fully forfeited to cover the practitioners time. If you have booked a piercing that doesn't firstly recommend an anatomical consultation and based on our professional opinion we are unable to pierce you, we may refund your deposit. Jewellery Sizing
Jewellery that we pierce with, or fit for downsizes, jewellery fitting services, curations, etc., are custom-fitted based on anatomy. With considerations for any potential swelling, tissue change, and life.

We take no responsibility for jewellery sizing or fit for jewellery that is purchased through the webstore, or bought in person without assistance and installation.

All jewellery sales are considered final for health, safety, and hygiene. We cannot return, refund, or exchange. Unless in the case of jewellery faults or warranty issues.
